Devolution

Devolution is the handing down of powers and money from central government (Whitehall) to local authorities so they can make decisions and spend money for the benefit of the region, as they see fit.

On the 17 November 2015 the Chancellor of the Exchequer agreed and signed a proposed devolution deal with the members of the West Midlands Combined Authority.
