West Midlands united in Channel 4 campaign

Community and business leaders have joined forces with politicians from all sides to press the case for Channel 4’s relocation to the West Midlands.

An open letter published in today's Times points to a perfect fit for the pioneering TV channel in a region currently at the heart of a national creative and cultural revolution.

The letter highlights the region’s position as one of the youngest and most diverse populations in Europe, reflecting the face of modern Britain and ready to rise to new challenges.

Its 82 signatories – reflecting the year of Channel 4’s launch – include West Midlands Mayor Andy Street and WMCA chief executive Deborah Cadman.
