Citizens Network

Disabled people constantly innovate and adopt solutions to the many challenges faced in daily life. Include Me West Midlands wants to ensure that these challenges and solutions are considered by organisations across the region  as they look to enhance their appeal to all citizens.

We are developing a panel to ensure that disabled citizens’ voices are heard where life experiences and ideas are shared to help improve the organisations and services we encounter. We are not looking to replace any networks. We want to support and work with other networks and forums to amplify shared messages.

Everything and anything that provides an obstacle to participation in physical activity will be discussed with the aim of finding solutions.

Panel membership

  • Made up of 11 members
  • Will meet (or via video conference) for up to two hours between 4 and 6 times in a year.
  • Membership will be drawn from disabled people and people with lived-experience
  • Panel members will be encouraged to work collectively and objectively
  • This group will look to influence policy, challenge attitudes and steer strategy.
