Mobility Credits Pilot

170317Swift 02

Drivers in the West Midlands could be paid ‘credits’ to ditch their personal vehicles as part of a strategy to tackle congestion in the region.

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), is trying to incentivise people to give up their private vehicles and instead use car sharing, public transport and electric vehicle hire schemes.

The pilot is just one of many new initiatives taking place as part of the region’s Future Mobility Zone. The West Midlands was chosen by the Government as a national pilot and given £20m to kickstart a modal shift across the region.

Details of the mobility credits pilot are still being finalised, but you can keep up with all aspects of our Future Mobility Zone on the TfWM website.
