Shop Local, Stay Local

From one-way systems to hand sanitiser stations, our towns and local centres have a very different feel this year. There is no escaping the fact that local businesses have had a rough time and have been well and truly rocked by the restrictions. Businesses have had to adapt and in some cases diversify their services in order to survive.

With the majority of restrictions now lifted, our local businesses continue to implement measures to keep you safe, such as mask-wearing and social distancing. Although they are more than excited to welcome you back.

We have so many wonderful independent shops eagerly awaiting your custom. So why not do your bit to help our region recover, protect jobs and support businesses, and take time this summer to get out and find those ‘hidden gems’ in your local area.

Our region is also fortunate to have a strong representative organisations, such as BIDs, doing all they can to promote the best they have to offer. Find what hidden gems are on your doorstep by clicking on the links below.
