New station at Aldridge

Walsallarboretumpark4

As part of a long-term vision, there are proposals to enhance services to Aldridge, whilst also providing principal enhancements to Infrastructure by reopening Aldridge Station - thus improving connectivity.

With ambitious plans for housing and large investments taking place across the Black Country, this new station is of crucial importance and will make a huge difference to residents and commuters - improving connections between Wolverhampton to Aldridge, via Walsall and Birmingham New Street.

The reopening of Aldridge Stations is part of a raft of new station openings including those at Darlaston and Willenhall, Kings Heath, Moseley, and Hazelwell on the Camp Hill line in south Birmingham.

This project is being led by the West Midlands Rail Executive (WMRE) and Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). This is all part of TfWM’s multi-billion investment in public transport which will help us ease traffic congestion and improve the air we breathe.
