Work to deliver our first multi-story Park and Ride car park facility at Longbridge is now underway.

We are working to deliver our first multi-story Park & Ride car park facility at Longbridge Station. Construction is now underway for this new 631-space car park, being built on the site of the pre-existing car park.

The development of Longbridge Park & Ride means that more commuters will be able to leave their cars and travel into Birmingham city centre by train, easing congestion and pollution on the busy A38 Bristol Road route.

Phase one of development refers to the installation of the foundations for the car park – which will involve the drilling of over 170 pile foundations. Phase two of development looks at the construction of the actual car park. Phase three will be the final completion of the car park, including the installation of two lifts and quality CCTV.

The project is being delivered by Bourne Parking on behalf of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). It is due to be opened in the Spring of 2020. Keep up with our progress here.
