Young Combined Authority
People in power don't always understand what young people think and need but West Midlands Combined Authority wants to.
We want to "see the world through the eyes" of young people, that's why the WMCA board approved funding for a new Young Combined Authority (YCA).
The idea of a YCA came from recommendations set out in the Leadership Commission’s Leaders Like You report, published in June 2018.
The board is made up of young people aged 15 to 25 to advise and guide WMCA decisions with their unique input.
