Adult Learning Awards – Nominate now

Join us in celebrating the achievements of adult learners, educators and organisations who support adult learning across the West Midlands by completing this form. 

Nominations will close on Monday 16 March 2026 at 5pm. 

Key points before you start your entry 

  • One nomination per form submission. If you want to nominate for more than one category, please submit a separate form. 
  • Nominees must be delivering adult learning within one or more of the following local authority areas: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton or must directly benefit residents of these areas.

  • Learners must have been aged 19 or over at the time of undertaking the learning.

  • Nominees must agree to be nominated and to be contacted about the nomination. Nominees do not need to be aware that they are being nominated at the point of submission. It is the responsibility of the nominator to ensure they are submitting a nomination for an individual or organisation who they reasonably believe would be comfortable participating in the awards and related publicity if shortlisted.
  • Achievements should be between 1 February 2025 and 31 January 2026. 
  • Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony (currently planned for 8 July 2026). Outcomes are not shared in advance. 
  • WMCA may use shortlisted and winner stories for publicity after the ceremony. You will be asked about media consent in this form.

What were your objectives? Who was the project aimed at? When did this activity take place? For learners - when did you come to know them? What course are they studying/teaching? What was their background before joining this course? What were they hoping to achieve from the programme? Maximum 200 words.
Include how they have gone above and beyond, and what makes it a strong story for the region.

West Midlands Combined Authority will use information about shortlisted entries in a number of publicity materials, including and not limited to: quotes and written case study, photography at/after the ceremony, video capture after the ceremony, social media and WMCA website, and press and partner channels.
