Dhiren Katwa
Community Manager at Tomato Energy
WMCA’s Community Environment Network has strong potential to win hearts & hearts, encouraging people & organisations from all walks of life & backgrounds to contribute to the conversation & action.
As an advocate I shall be doing this, a reason why I wanted to join this group. Together we can make a real and lasting difference to the lives of people, many of whom are disillusioned or their trust and confidence in such platforms has been eroded through broken promises. I just don’t want this Network to be yet another talking shop. Tons have come and gone. But what I hope and aspire for this Network to achieve is a portfolio of community projects which make a difference to the environment across our region and its legacy celebrated by future generations.
Relentless collaboration, compromise and a sense of shared purpose can achieve so much. Where there’s the will, there’s a way, always.
Advisory Group Role - Inclusive Communities Lead
Dhiren will ensure the Network is diverse and supports a wide range of community groups, that aren’t environment focused. They will support the Network in developing strong links to community groups who focus on, but not limited to, faith, disabilities, homelessness, youth support or underrepresented communities.
