Lifegate Outreach Centre

The Community Environment Network aims to connect community groups working on environment action, boost their efforts, and also inspire and support new groups. 

The Lifegate Outreach Centre is a Christian Faith based charity in Walsall, leading on youth empowerment via environmental education. 

For the Nature Call to Action Campaign the community garden initiatives project aimed to create awareness, educate and facilitate young community champions, stimulate interest in soil engagements via horticulture and in anti-plastic soil campaigns and composting.

Lifegate Communities projects are all about 'making a difference' in their community, especially the black community. 

Throughout the month they ran:

• Young person and interested adult gardening training
• Spring planting lessons
• Composting training
• Anti-plastic soil community awareness campaign
• A visit to Rycroft Community Garden Centre
