How Thrive at Work has impacted the organisation: Before signing up for Thrive, Tisski offered counselling services and physiotherapy/chiropractic appointments and opportunities for flexible working. Tisski is a caring employer, always looking for ways to support the wellbeing of their employees, so Thrive seemed the perfect scheme to help them on their journey.

Tisski attended numerous training webinars organised by the Thrive team, including the Wellbeing Champion training day.

Healthy lifestyles are a key focus and a lot of time and energy has been invested in many campaigns including Tisski Active, ‘Big Team Challenge app’ to organise step challenges, the first was to Lapland and the second was London to Edinburgh with a third in Spring 2023. Healthy Eating became a focus with a personal trainer leading a virtual Brown Bag session on healthy eating which was well-attended. Mindfulness & Meditation Brown Bag session on meditation, an evening virtual sound gong meditation workshop, a mindful sunflower growing competition. Story telling saw colleagues with lived experience sharing experiences. Better with Money hosted a bespoke webinar for us covering the Cost-of-Living Crisis.

There are a total of 8 Mental Health First Aiders who are available to any colleagues who need support and lunchtime Chat Sessions of 30 minutes of informal chat via Teams held every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime has been great for new starters to meet people from across the business who they may not ordinarily come into contact with.

All Tisski employees now have free access to Sage Employee Benefits, an employee assistance programme which offers discounts on shopping and gym memberships, health and lifestyle information and a 24-hour helpline for legal and financial advice plus access to face-to-face or on-line counselling. The main changes we made were in the area of Health and Safety. We completely overhauled our Health and Safety Policy, designed our own Health and Safety training course and quiz, and introduced home worker risk assessments and stress questionnaires which are mandatory for all staff.
